Complimented with three interfaces - FireWire 800, FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 - the disk maxi brings you complete connectivity and speed, the disk maxi boasts superior features such as an ultra compact space saving case, whisper operation, up to a massive 2TB (2000GB) of Storage and 32MBs of cache designed for professional performance. The combination of extreme speed and huge capacity make it ideal for a variety of professional applications, including digital audio/video, graphic design, system backups or upgrade your PC/Mac giving it additional storage capacity. Available in either white or black cases.

Where's the Quad interface?
Formac produce products with performance as THE key attribute.
Currently there are known issues with Quad interface technology, although you may gain an extra eSATA port, and pay more for the privilege, if you use the FireWire port on these Quad enabled drives, you could lose 20% performance against the performance of one of our triple interface Disk Maxi drives. So until the technology is available which gives great performance across ALL ports Formac will not be producing a Quad port model.
